He made his big league debut with the Atlanta Braves in 2017 and played for the Seattle Mariners and Milwaukee Brewers. He appeared in 59 career big league games, where he batted just .200 (25-for-125) with one home run, eight RBIs and 13 runs scored.
Although he did not play in the regular season in 2020 during his Milwaukee days, he enjoyed the honor of being included in the postseason roster. He stepped in to bat once but struck out.
While playing for Kiwoom in 2021, he participated in 43 games and stayed with a batting average of 2.59, 36 hits, 2 homers, 14 RBIs and 13 points.
The media explained that the reason the Dodgers recruited Freitas was to strengthen depth. The media pointed out that batting must be supported in order to have a chance to be promoted to the big leagues.
