‘A shared and unnecessary caution’… EPL senior taunts Xherdan Shaqiri: “If Kane had come on, he would have had a hat-trick”

Gabriel Agbonlahor, 36, a former Aston Villa player, has mocked the 26-year-old.

According to British media outlet The Boot Room, Agbonlahor made the comments on TalkSPORT on Aug. 28 (KST).

“If Harry Kane (who joined Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window) had been leading the Tottenham front line instead of him, Spurs would have won 5-0 at Bournemouth (on Sept. 26),” Agbonlahor said. Tottenham won 2-0 at Bournemouth with goals from James Maddison and Dejan Kuluczewski.

The reason for Agbonlahor’s mockery of Lacazette is clear. He made a series of ridiculous mistakes that cost him a goal against Bournemouth.

In the 35th minute, with his team leading 1-0, he made a move that took everyone by surprise. On a counterattack, he took one defender with him and ran at the door. He lost his center of gravity for a moment, but managed to beat the defender and found himself one-on-one with the keeper, only to stumble and lose possession of the ball right in front of him. He hesitated and missed the timing of his shot. He couldn’t even get his head on the ball from a free-kick opportunity in the 40th minute.

It didn’t end there.

Eight minutes into the second half, on a counterattack opportunity, Hichalisson failed to get a soft touch on the ball when he received it in the midfield. He tried to catch the ball with the bottom of his soccer shoe and slipped. In a fit of frustration, he stretched out his foot towards opposing defender Jabari, who was heading into the Tottenham box with the ball he had missed. He was cautioned for nothing.

His questionable moves continued. In the 10th minute of the second half, he missed a basic pass from Madison in the box. He was taken off in the 14th minute of the second half. 바카라사이트

Criticism followed. “He received an unnecessary caution,” said the British publication Football London, “and had a disappointing performance, losing the ball.”

He has become a ‘betting man’.

He moved to Tottenham in a £60 million transfer ahead of last season. However, he didn’t quite live up to expectations. He scored just one goal in 27 EPL games in the 2022-2023 season. As a striker, he hasn’t done his job at all. This season, only three games have been played and he’s still scoreless. On top of that, his performances are getting worse.

Agbonlahor added: “Something needs to be done about Xherdan Shaqiri. I also think Tottenham need a better striker. If Kane had come on against Bournemouth, he would have scored a hat-trick.”

‘The Boot Room’ also had a word to say. “In the long run, I don’t think he’ll get a chance to start for Spurs,” he said.
