Bafetimbi Gomis, the man behind the dreaded fumble ceremony, is moving to the Japanese J-League.
“Kawasaki Frontale is pleased to announce that we have agreed to sign Bafetimbi Gomis as a new member of the team for this season,” the club confirmed on its website on Monday.
Gomis is 38 years old and has a strong frame. He is a right-footed, left-footed, ambidextrous striker who can penetrate spaces and compete for the ball. His performances have made him one of the best strikers in the Ligue 1.
He moved to Swansea in the Premier League, and while his ball-winning skills remained the same, his goal-scoring and space-invading qualities were lost and he was relegated to the bench as he struggled to adapt to the faster pace of the Premier League 안전놀이터.
Back in France, his form picked up again at Marseille, followed by Galatasaray, Al Hilal, and then Galatasaray again, where he scored a number of goals, most notably in Al Hilal’s win over Pohang Steelers in the Asian Champions League.
He said on the club’s website, “I am very excited to be part of the Kawasaki Frontale family. I’m looking forward to meeting new fans and teammates and starting a new life in the wonderful country of Japan. I hope we will have a great time together and I will be able to score many goals and win many titles for you.”
