Frenzied LAD tries to land ’10th straight GG’ Arena, too

The Los Angeles Dodgers, who are looking to bolster their infield in this offseason’s trade market, are pursuing 11-time Gold Glove winner Nolan Arenado (32, St. Louis Cardinals).

먹튀검증 The Los Angeles Times reported on Monday (Nov. 28) that the Dodgers are in talks with St. Louis to acquire Arenado.

Through 27 games, the Cardinals are 46-57 on the season with a .447 winning percentage, good for fourth place in the National League Central. They are also a significant distance from the third wild card spot.

This makes the Reds’ chances of making the postseason very slim. That’s why Arenado, who has four years left on his contract, is on the market.

Arenado was the National League’s Gold Glove winner at third base for 10 straight years, from his rookie season in 2013 to last year. This season, however, he’s been relatively mediocre on defense.

On offense, you can expect 30 home runs a season. Through 27 games this season, he’s batting .287 with 22 home runs, 77 RBIs, a .335 OPS, and a .856 slugging percentage in 98 games.

His contract runs through the upcoming 2027 season. The salaries are $35 million, $32 million, $27 million, and $15 million starting with the 2024 season.

His former team, the Colorado Rockies, is offering salary relief. If the Los Angeles Dodgers were to sign him, it would also include salary relief from St. Louis.

However, Arenado has the right to veto a trade to his former club. Even if the two teams agree to a trade, Arenado can veto it.

The Dodgers recently added Enrique Hernandez and Ahmed Rosario to bolster their infield. If they do acquire Arenado, they will likely turn their attention to the mound.
